This Privacy Policy describes how ClipsGenerator (“ClipsGenerator”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account data. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and profile preferences.
• Billing data. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details. We receive limited information such as the last four digits of your card, billing country, and subscription status. We never store full card numbers on our servers.
• User content. Prompts, scripts, uploaded images, audio, video, voice samples, characters, backgrounds, and any other assets you upload or generate through the Service.
• Communications. Support requests, feedback, and correspondence you send to us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data. Pages viewed, features used, clips generated, buttons clicked, and timestamps of activity.
• Device data. IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from IP.
• Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and local storage for authentication, preferences, analytics, and to improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling them may break parts of the Service.

1.3 Information From Third Parties

If you sign in with a third-party provider (for example, Google), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We also receive event data from service providers such as Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and database), Cloudinary (media storage), and D-ID or similar AI providers (avatar and voice generation).

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Generate, process, render, and deliver the clips and assets you request.
• Create and manage your account, and authenticate you.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Communicate with you about your account, security, product updates, and support.
• Monitor, analyze, and improve the Service, including debugging, preventing abuse, and measuring performance.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Model Training

We do not train our own foundation models on your private user content. Your content may be sent to third-party AI providers (for example, for text-to-speech, image generation, or avatar synthesis) strictly to fulfill your requests. We choose providers that offer a zero-retention or no-training-on-customer-data option wherever practical. See Section 5 for the list of providers.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as described below:

• Service providers. Vendors who help us run the Service (hosting, storage, analytics, payments, email, AI inference) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ClipsGenerator, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
• With your consent. Any other sharing will be done with your explicit consent.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sub-Processors

We currently rely on the following categories of sub-processors. This list may change over time:

• Supabase — authentication and database.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Cloudinary — media storage, transformation, and delivery.
• AI providers (such as D-ID and similar) — avatar, voice, image, and script generation.
• Hosting and CDN providers for the web application.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete clips, projects, and library assets at any time from the dashboard. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted to retain it (for example, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal obligations).

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in your account settings, or by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and EEA/UK residents (GDPR) have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
